Teaching
I teach two fourth year courses at Oxford: Radiative Processes in Astrophysics (8 lectures in Michaelmas term 2020) and High Energy Astrophysics (10 lectures in Michaelmas term 2020). You can download my lecture notes here.
Radiative Processes in Astrophysics
The Radiative Processes notes for the academic year 2020-2021 are written in a big PDF document downloadable below. They are written a bit like a text book, and I've tried to keep them as self-contained as possible. I uploaded the first version of the notes on 15th October 2020 (the same day that I finished recording the online lectures). The current version contains a correction of a typo in lecture 8 (the central wavelength of the B band is 445 nm, not 569 nm as was originally written), and was uploaded on 7th January 2021.
High Energy Astrophysics
Here are pdf versions of the Keynote slides used in the High Energy Astrophysics lectures. The lecture 5 slides were replaced on 18th November 2020 to correct a typo in the derivation of the ISCO. The lecture 9 slides were replaced on 1st December 2020 to correct a typo in the expression for the quadrupole moment tensor, it's derivative and the plot of Lgw vs orbital separation.:
